The Lisboa Restaurant was the main dining room on the Funchal.  This is how it looked in 1999.
The Porto Bar is the piano lounge and would stay open as late as you wanted - sometimes we were there until 2.00am.   :-)
The Portuguese built and owned M/V Funchal has been around as long as I have; since 1961 in fact, and she is the oldest of the ships we’ve been on.  She was originally built as the Portuguese presidential yacht and was steam powered; since then she has had several owners and several extensive refits, the most recent being in 2013, and she is now fully modernised and almost as good as new. Like a lot of classic ships she has a loyal fan base, and everyone who sails on the Funchal loves her - we have had the pleasure of three memorable cruises on the Funchal ourselves.  52 years later she is still going strong and has many more years to go yet.  :-)
