Of all the places we have cruised around the world, few (if any) places beat the Galápagos Islands, an archipelago way out in the Pacific Ocean and an overseas territory of Ecuador. The array of wildlife has to be seen to be believed; no matter where you look – on land, in the air or under the sea – amazing creatures of all shapes, sizes and colours can be seen.
Of the 19 islands that make up the archipelago, only five are inhabited. The others are untainted by mankind and indeed, when visiting I felt as if, as a mere member of the human race, I did not deserve to be there. It is a wonderful, wonderful place and I am so privileged to have visited. This is why this particular cruise deserves to feature under the “Amazing Experiences” section of this web site.
